Realme has officially launched the Realme Neo8 in China, expanding its Neo smartphone lineup with a performance-focused flagship.
The new device stands out with a massive 8,000mAh battery, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, and a rugged IP69 rating, positioning it as a powerful all-rounder in the premium mid-range segment.
The Realme Neo8 features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution and an ultra-smooth refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The phone uses Samsung’s M14 panel, which Realme claims can deliver an impressive peak brightness of 6,500 nits, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility and vibrant colors for gaming and multimedia consumption.
Design-wise, the Neo8 adopts a bold look with a transparent glass rear panel and a distinctive “Awakening Halo” RGB light strip. This customizable lighting element responds to notifications, charging status, and other system alerts. The smartphone is built with a metal frame and carries an IP69 rating, offering high-level protection against dust and water.
On the camera front, the Realme Neo8 packs a versatile triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP JN5 periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, the device comes with a 16MP front-facing camera.
Powering the Neo8 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for fast performance and smooth multitasking. The phone also features a large vapor chamber cooling system to maintain stable performance during intensive gaming sessions. It runs Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 and includes several AI-powered features. Realme has promised three years of Android updates and four years of security patches.
The 8,000mAh battery supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and bypass charging, making it ideal for long gaming sessions. Additional features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, infrared blaster, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, and stereo speakers. The device measures 8.3mm in thickness and weighs 215 grams.
The Realme Neo8 is available in China in Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White. Pricing starts at CNY 2,599 ($370) for the 12GB/256GB variant and goes up to CNY 3,899 ($560) for the top-end 16GB/1TB model.
