Marvel Studios has released the first teaser trailer and poster for “Captain America: Brave New World,” introducing fans to Red Hulk and featuring Giancarlo Esposito as a mysterious villain.
This marks the fourth installment in the Captain America franchise and the first since Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers stepped down in 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame.” Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, formerly The Falcon, steps up as the new Captain America.
The official synopsis reveals that Sam Wilson, now Captain America, meets the newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross and soon finds himself embroiled in an international incident. Wilson must unravel a global plot before the mastermind behind it plunges the world into chaos.
The trailer offers a first look at Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a role he inherited from the late William Hurt. The trailer hints at Ross’s efforts to recruit the new Captain America as an operative for the U.S. government. The teaser culminates with the dramatic reveal of Red Hulk, Ross’s superhero alter ego from the comics.
Directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, “Captain America: Brave New World” is set for release on February 14, 2025. Executive producers include Louis D’Esposito and Charles Newirth.
