Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Launches Internationally With Upgrades

Xiaomi

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ to international markets, months after its initial unveiling in China.

While the global model carries the same name, it differs in several key areas, offering a unique mix of upgrades and trade-offs compared to its Chinese counterpart.

The most notable change is in the camera system. Unlike the Chinese Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which features a 50MP main sensor, the international version upgrades to a 200MP HPE primary camera. This sensor supports 2x and 4x in-sensor zoom and offers five focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 92mm, promising enhanced flexibility for photography enthusiasts. The 8MP ultrawide camera remains unchanged, though the global variant drops the 50MP telephoto lens found on the Chinese model.

Battery specifications also differ between the two versions. The international Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is powered by a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W fast charging support, along with 22.5W reverse wired charging. In comparison, the Chinese version packs a larger 7,000mAh battery but supports slower 90W charging. Interestingly, despite its smaller battery, the international model is slightly thicker.

On the display front, both models share a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,200 nits peak brightness. However, the global version has a slightly higher resolution at 2772 × 1280 pixels, compared to 2772 × 1220 pixels on the Chinese variant. Xiaomi has also upgraded display protection to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, replacing the Dragon Crystal Glass used in China.

Performance remains consistent across both models, thanks to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with HyperOS. Other shared features include a 32MP front camera, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio support.

The international Redmi Note 15 Pro+ also stands out with eSIM support, extensive IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, Xiaomi’s Offline Communication technology, and the Surge T1S Tuner for improved connectivity.

Available in Black, Mocha Brown, and Glacier Blue, pricing starts at €499/£429, with pre-orders opening on January 5.
