Review of Dongfeng Box EV in Pakistan: Price and Specs

Gugo Box

The Dongfeng Box 2025 marks a confident entry into Pakistan’s evolving electric vehicle (EV) market.

As a compact electric hatchback, it is designed to balance practicality, technology, and eco-friendly performance for urban drivers seeking alternatives to conventional fuel-based cars.

Available in two variants — the Lux 430 and the Flagship 430 — the Box caters to both value-seeking buyers and those wanting more premium features.

Priced at Rs6,400,000 for the Lux 430 and Rs6,800,000 for the Flagship 430 (ex-factory), the car is positioned in the mid-to-premium EV segment. With rising fuel prices and growing environmental concerns, its timing could not be better.

Underneath, the Box is powered by a 95-horsepower electric motor paired with a 42.3 kWh lithium battery.

It offers a top speed of 140 km/h and a driving range of up to 430 km, which is highly practical for both city commutes and occasional intercity trips.

Charging takes around 6 hours, making overnight charging at home the most convenient option.

In terms of design, the Box presents a sleek, modern look while maintaining compact dimensions at 4030 mm long, 1810 mm wide, and 1570 mm high.

Despite its small footprint, it accommodates five passengers with a 5-door layout, making it suitable for professionals and small families.

On the safety front, Dongfeng equips the Box with two airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, lane departure warning, and blind-spot detection.

Higher-end features like autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors further add to its appeal.

Inside, the cabin has a minimalist dashboard, a functional infotainment system, and an optimized sound setup.

While the design is simple, it provides intuitive controls and connectivity for everyday use.

Driving is smooth and quiet, with a regenerative braking system that boosts efficiency and a low center of gravity that ensures stability.
