Pakistan’s automotive industry is gearing up for a major leap in sustainable mobility with the much-anticipated launch of the Riddara RD6 electric pickup truck in August 2025.
This revolutionary EV is set to reshape the pickup truck market by offering a powerful and eco-friendly alternative to traditional petrol and hybrid models.
Designed for both urban use and rugged terrains, the RD6 aims to attract a diverse range of consumers—from adventure enthusiasts to environmentally conscious commuters.
The launch is being spearheaded by Capital Smart Motors (CSM), a well-known name in Pakistan’s automotive sector. CSM has partnered with Radar Auto, the electric vehicle division of global automotive giant Geely Auto Group.
This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s shift towards cleaner transportation and reflects growing confidence in the future of electric vehicles (EVs) across the region.
CSM announced the upcoming launch through its social media platforms, describing the RD6 as “built to lead” and “coming to take over”—a bold statement reflecting the company’s high expectations for the vehicle’s performance in the local market.
The announcement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CSM and Geely. The agreement aims to accelerate the adoption of EVs in Pakistan and expand product offerings suited to local needs.
While local specifications will be confirmed at launch, international models of the RD6 showcase a range of impressive features and advanced technologies.
