Robert Downey Jr. has earned a new title on the set of Avengers: Doomsday — “Godfather,” according to his co-star Vanessa Kirby.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps actress shared her admiration for the Oppenheimer star during a recent interview with Variety, praising his leadership and commitment during filming.

“Robert’s never not been on set,” Kirby revealed. “He’s always there. He is our leader. We call him our Godfather. He’s looked after us.” She also praised the Russo Brothers, adding, “It’s such a joy working with the Russos and him, because they’ve had such deep collaboration for so long.”
A Personal Journey on Set
Kirby also opened up about filming while pregnant, describing the experience as empowering. “It’s been amazing being pregnant and working on Avengers. I felt so inspired and so relieved that I’ve been so taken care of. It’s been a really beautiful journey. Robert is just doing incredible work. I’m so excited.”
