Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino has officially joined Saudi Arabia’s Pro League team, Al-Ahli, in a significant transfer.
The 31-year-old forward finalized a three-year contract with Al-Ahli as a free agent following the expiration of his deal with Liverpool at the conclusion of the previous season.
This move is expected to strengthen Al-Ahli’s squad and generate increased excitement within Saudi Arabian football.

During his successful eight-year tenure with Liverpool, Firmino achieved remarkable success, clinching every major club title.
Since his arrival from Hoffenheim in 2015, he scored an impressive tally of 111 goals in 362 games for Liverpool.
Al-Ahli’s signing of Firmino aligns with Saudi Arabia’s strategy to raise the profile of its league, as the country’s affluent kingdom aims to attract top-tier soccer talents.

Al-Ahli, based in Jeddah, is among the four teams recently acquired by the country’s sovereign wealth Public Investment Fund.

In recent times, various teams in the Saudi Pro League have secured notable signings, including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Marcelo Brozovic. Cristiano Ronaldo initiated this trend when he joined Al-Nassr in January.
