Rockstar Games has announced another delay for its highly anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI).

The company confirmed that the game, which was initially planned for release in 2025, will now launch on November 19, 2026. This marks the second delay for the long-awaited sequel to GTA V.

GTA VI Faces Another Delay

The game was originally scheduled to arrive in 2025 before being postponed to May 26, 2026. In its latest update, Rockstar explained that the new launch date would allow developers to complete the game with the level of polish and quality that players expect from the studio. The company also apologized to fans for the extended wait and expressed gratitude for their continued patience and support.

Rockstar stated that it remains excited to bring players into the state of Leonida and a reimagined modern-day Vice City, promising a vast open-world experience unlike any previous Grand Theft Auto title.

What to Expect from GTA VI

GTA VI is expected to reintroduce players to Vice City, modeled after Miami, within a larger fictional region known as Leonida. Early reports and leaks suggest the game will feature two main characters, a massive open-world map, realistic weather effects, and advanced AI systems. With next-generation technology at its core, GTA VI aims to deliver one of the most immersive gaming experiences ever created.

Platform Availability

The upcoming title will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles at launch. While Rockstar has not yet confirmed a PC release date, it is expected to follow later, similar to the studio’s previous release pattern.

Anticipation Remains High

Although fans are disappointed by another delay, many believe the extra time will ensure a smoother, more refined final product. With Rockstar’s focus on delivering a premium experience, GTA VI is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious open-world games ever developed, set to redefine the gaming landscape when it arrives in November 2026.
