Sabrina Carpenter, one of pop music’s rising stars, revealed that her biggest Hollywood inspiration is none other than a Muppet.
During the highly anticipated revival of The Muppet Show, which premiered February 4 on ABC and Disney+, the 26-year-old singer and actress confessed her admiration for Miss Piggy. Carpenter told the diva, “Miss Piggy, I’m sure you get this all the time—I actually meant to tell you earlier—but you’re my idol. Yeah, I’ve basically modeled my whole look and style after you.”
True to her witty persona, Miss Piggy responded, “Oh trust me, my attorneys and I have taken notice and we will be in touch.” The playful exchange highlighted the fun dynamic between Carpenter and the Muppet legend.
In an interview with E! News, Miss Piggy joked that Carpenter was “very intimidated” during filming, adding, “If anything, I think you should ask Sabrina if she was intimidated by moi.” Meanwhile, Kermit the Frog praised Carpenter as “an amazing singer and actress” who brought energy and charm to the special.
The revival celebrates 50 years since Jim Henson’s original Muppet Show debuted and features a star-studded lineup including Maya Rudolph and Seth Rogen, the latter also serving as executive producer.
Sabrina Carpenter’s heartfelt admiration for Miss Piggy adds a fun, nostalgic twist to the iconic show’s return, delighting both longtime Muppet fans and new viewers alike.
