Sabrina Carpenter has just released her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, giving fans a deeply personal look into her life through a fresh collection of tracks.
The Espresso singer took to Instagram on Friday to announce the arrival of her sixth studio album, sharing a heartfelt post about her journey of self-discovery and the creative process behind the music.
In a carousel of candid photos, Carpenter expressed her excitement, captioning the post, “Short n’ sweet is officially yours now!!!” The Tall Girl actress reflected on how creating this album allowed her to learn more about herself, stating, “I feel extremely lucky that each time I write a new record, I learn a little bit more about myself, and can create from that place.
The making of Short n’ Sweet was one of the most special, honest, up-and-down, and fun experiences of my life.”
Carpenter explained that she drew inspiration from moments that made her laugh, believing that if something was funny enough to bring her joy, it deserved a place in her music. “Happy or sad!” she added, highlighting the emotional range of the album.
The singer also took a moment to express her gratitude to the team of talented friends, writers, producers, mixers, engineers, and creative minds who helped bring the album to life. “Not a serious thought was thunk, yet somehow they were… lol I love you all and am so grateful,” she wrote.
As she wrapped up her post, Carpenter hinted at more to come, writing, “I will keep this short n sweet buuuut more soon,” before urging fans to listen to the album and expressing her hope that they would love it.
Short n’ Sweet was officially released on Friday, August 23, and features the chart-topping singles Espresso and Please Please Please. The album also includes a brand-new music video for the song Taste, starring Jenna Ortega.
