SAI elects Abdul Rehman Fudda as president after key resignations

Karachi, February 22, 2026 – The SITE Association of Industry (SAI) has elected Abdul Rehman Fudda as its new President for the remainder of the 2024–2026 tenure following resignations from key office bearers.

The Executive Committee officially accepted the resignations of Ahmed Azeem Alvi, Khalid Riaz, and Muhammad Riaz Dhedhi from their positions as President, Senior Vice President, and Vice President, respectively. These resignations were received by the Secretary General and formally approved by the committee.

Subsequently, a special Executive Committee meeting was held to appoint new office bearers for the remaining term. In a unanimous decision, Abdul Rehman Fudda was elected President, Ahmed Zulfiqar Chaudhry as Senior Vice President, and Muhammad Tahir Goreja as Vice President. The newly elected officials have already assumed their roles.

President Abdul Rehman Fudda expressed gratitude to the members for their trust and praised the outgoing office bearers for their contributions. He highlighted the urgent need to tackle critical challenges in the SITE area, including deteriorating infrastructure and shortages of essential utilities.

Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala congratulated the new team, emphasizing the importance of institutional growth through open dialogue. He encouraged the office bearers to be proactive in addressing industrial concerns and to spotlight issues affecting production and growth.

Patron Saleem Parekh also congratulated the newly elected officials while appreciating the outgoing team’s efforts. He urged members to actively participate in association initiatives and reaffirmed his commitment to addressing industry challenges amid increasingly difficult business conditions.
