Samsung Confirms Galaxy A Launch Event on March 2

Samsung has officially announced its upcoming Galaxy A launch event, set for March 2. While the company has not revealed which devices will debut, recent leaks suggest the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 will take center stage.

Samsung’s Teaser Hints at Two New Devices

The official teaser image showcases only two smartphones, indicating that Samsung may unveil just two models at this event, with the third arriving later. Samsung India has opened registrations for those interested in updates on the launch and new devices.

Galaxy A56, A36, and A26: Expected Features

According to leaks, the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 will share a 6.7-inch display with a 1080×2340 resolution. However, the fingerprint sensor placement varies: the A56 and A36 feature in-display fingerprint scanners, while the A26 integrates it into the power button.

In terms of processing power, the A56 is expected to run on Samsung’s Exynos 1580, while the A36 may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The A26 is rumored to be powered by the Exynos 1380. All three models are expected to offer 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

Camera and Software Expectations

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) across all three models. The A56 will likely include a 12MP ultrawide camera, while the A36 and A26 will feature 8MP ultrawide sensors. A third macro camera—5MP for the A56 and A36, and 2MP for the A26—is also expected. On the front, the A56 and A36 are rumored to house a 12MP selfie camera, while the A26 could sport a 13MP front shooter.

Android 15 with One UI 7 on Board

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that all three smartphones are expected to launch with Android 15 and One UI 7, making them among the first Samsung devices to ship with the latest software. This could make them an attractive option, even for current Galaxy S24 users looking for an affordable alternative.
