Samsung has officially confirmed the launch date for its highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series, putting an end to weeks of speculation.
The next Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for February 25 in San Francisco, where the company will unveil the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The launch event will be livestreamed globally through Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel, allowing fans worldwide to watch the unveiling in real time.
Alongside the announcement, Samsung has also opened pre-reservations for the Galaxy S26 lineup. In India, customers can pay a small token amount to secure early access to the new smartphones. In select other markets, users who register for the event can receive a $30/€30 voucher, additional trade-in bonuses, and a chance to win exclusive discount vouchers.
Although the official launch is still weeks away, most of the key specifications have already surfaced through leaks. According to reports, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will be powered by the Exynos 2600 chipset in most regions. Both models are expected to retain the same display sizes as their predecessors and come equipped with 12GB of RAM.
In terms of battery capacity, the Galaxy S26 is rumored to feature a 4,300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S26+ will reportedly continue with a 4,900mAh battery similar to the current S25+ model. Camera hardware on both devices is expected to remain largely unchanged.
The premium Galaxy S26 Ultra, however, is tipped to feature a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. It is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for up to 60W wired fast charging and 25W wireless charging. While camera resolutions may stay the same, larger apertures are rumored to improve low-light performance.
With official confirmation now in place, the Galaxy S26 series is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s biggest smartphone launches of the year.
