Samsung continues its Android 16 rollout with the stable One UI 8 update now reaching more Galaxy devices.
After debuting on the Galaxy XCover7 last week, the update has officially expanded to the Galaxy XCover7 Pro and six additional smartphones: Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, Galaxy M34, Galaxy M35, Galaxy Wide 7, and Galaxy Quantum 3.
In South Korea, the Galaxy XCover7 Pro is receiving the update with firmware version BYI6, with a wider global release expected soon. The rugged device, priced around $449, is among the first in Samsung’s durable XCover series to get the Android 16-based interface.
The popular Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G are also getting the stable update in South Korea, with firmware versions GYI3 and GYI2, respectively. These mid-range models remain top choices for users who want reliable performance and 5G support at competitive prices.
Samsung’s Galaxy Wide 7 and Galaxy Quantum 3 have also joined the rollout list, receiving updates under firmware versions CYI6 and GYI4. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy Wide 7 is known internationally as the Galaxy M15, while the Galaxy Quantum 3 is marketed globally as the Galaxy M53.
Meanwhile, Indian users are now seeing the update for the Galaxy M34 and Galaxy M35. The M34’s firmware version is M346BXXU8EYI8, while the M35 carries M356BXXU5CYI8. Both devices are part of Samsung’s budget-friendly M series, which continues to attract users with long-lasting batteries and dependable software support.
The One UI 8 update, built on Android 16, introduces improved performance, smoother animations, enhanced privacy controls, and a more personalized interface. It also refines Samsung’s ecosystem integration, offering seamless connectivity between Galaxy devices.
Users who haven’t received the update notification can manually check by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. With this expanded rollout, Samsung reaffirms its commitment to delivering timely software updates across both its flagship and mid-range smartphone lineup.
