Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 and Galaxy S25 series users in four countries can now test the Android 17-based software
Samsung has expanded its Android 17-based One UI 9 Beta programme to more Galaxy devices across India, South Korea, the US and the UK.
The Korean technology giant initially announced the One UI 9 Beta programme for the Galaxy S26 series in May. The latest expansion allows owners of several other recent Galaxy smartphones to test the upcoming software before its stable release.
The eligible devices include the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 FE.
However, Samsung’s latest announcement does not mention the Galaxy S25 Edge. It remains unclear whether the device will receive the One UI 9 beta programme or move directly to the stable software update.
Samsung has already made the One UI 9 beta available for other Galaxy S25 models in India.
The beta programme gives eligible users an opportunity to test Samsung’s upcoming software and experience new features ahead of the wider public release. As with other beta programmes, users should expect potential bugs or performance issues while testing the software.
How to join One UI 9 beta
Galaxy owners with an eligible device can enrol in the One UI 9 Beta programme through the Samsung Members app.
Users can check the available beta programme section within the app and follow the instructions to register their compatible device.
The expansion of the programme suggests Samsung is gradually broadening testing of One UI 9 across its recent flagship and foldable devices.
One UI 9 is based on Android 17, bringing Samsung’s software experience to a wider range of Galaxy smartphones as the company moves towards its eventual stable rollout.
However, Samsung has not yet provided a complete timeline for the stable One UI 9 release across all eligible devices. Availability can also vary depending on the market and device model.
Galaxy S25 series and recent foldable owners interested in testing the upcoming software can therefore check the Samsung Members app to see whether the beta is available for their device.
