Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A17 4G just a day after its premature store listing leak.

The smartphone is now available in Germany at a starting price of €199 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model, making it €30 cheaper than the Galaxy A17 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A17 4G Specifications

The Galaxy A17 4G shares most of its features with the 5G variant, with the primary difference being the chipset. Instead of the Exynos 1330, the 4G model is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99.

The device comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display supporting a 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. It also carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Powering the phone is a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, delivering reliable all-day performance.

Camera Setup

On the rear, the Galaxy A17 4G is equipped with a 50MP main camera with OIS, accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, the phone offers a high-quality front-facing camera.

Software and Updates

Out of the box, the Galaxy A17 4G runs One UI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung has committed to 6 years of OS upgrades and security patches, making it a future-proof option in the mid-range segment.

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A17 4G is currently available in Germany at €199 for the 6GB/128GB configuration. Another variant with 128GB storage and 4GB RAM is listed at £169 in select markets.

With its competitive pricing, long-term software support, and reliable hardware, the Galaxy A17 4G positions itself as an attractive choice for budget-conscious buyers who don’t necessarily need 5G connectivity.
