Several retailers across Europe have listed the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A17 before its formal release, revealing key upgrades over its predecessor.
The new Galaxy A-series smartphone features Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, improved display protection, and optical image stabilization (OIS) for its 50MP main camera — just as earlier leaks suggested.
Display & Design
The Galaxy A17 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It also offers up to 1,100 nits peak brightness for enhanced outdoor visibility. A waterdrop notch houses the 13MP front-facing camera.
Camera Setup
On the back, the Galaxy A17 features a 50MP OIS-enabled main lens, accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. This setup aims to deliver sharper photos and better low-light performance.
Performance & Battery
Powered by the Exynos 1330 processor, the device comes with a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 25W wired charging. It also offers IP54 dust and splash resistance and expandable storage via a microSD card slot.
Software & Updates
The phone runs One UI 7 based on Android 15, and Samsung promises 6 OS upgrades along with 6 years of security updates, ensuring long-term software support.
Pricing & Availability
The Galaxy A17 will be available in Black, Blue, and Gray color options. In France, the 4GB/128GB model is priced at €230, while in Spain, the 8GB/256GB variant is listed at €309.
While Samsung has yet to confirm an official launch date, the listings indicate that the Galaxy A17 will be widely available across Europe very soon.
