Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for January 22, 2025, in San Jose, California. At this much-anticipated event, the tech giant will unveil the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, according to a Forbes report. Invitations to the event were distributed during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025.
One of the most significant highlights of the new Galaxy S25 series is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). Samsung has teased a “more natural and intuitive Galaxy AI,” promising to revolutionize how users interact with their devices. AI enhancements will reportedly improve performance, user customization, and camera functionality, making everyday tasks seamless.
Under the hood, the new phones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processors, delivering superior speed and efficiency. Camera upgrades are another major focus, with improvements in low-light photography, zoom capabilities, and video stabilization. Moreover, the Galaxy S25 series will include Apple-like MagSafe charging capabilities, supporting Qi2 wireless charging, as per leaks.
The design of the Galaxy S25 series will also see notable changes. Rounded edges and slimmer bezels will replace the sharp-edged designs seen in previous models, offering a sleeker and more ergonomic look.
The event will be streamed live via Samsung Newsroom, Samsung’s official website, and its YouTube channel, ensuring global access to the unveiling.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series will open on Friday, January 24, two days after the event, a departure from Samsung’s previous practice of same-day pre-orders. Pre-orders will close on Tuesday, February 4, giving customers ample time to secure their devices.
In India, pre-reservations for the Galaxy S25 series are already available through the Samsung India Store, with incentives like discounts on accessories (e.g., Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds), upgrades to higher storage tiers, and exclusive color options for web buyers.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, will hit stores on February 7, 2025, marking the beginning of what is expected to be another stellar chapter in Samsung’s flagship lineup.
