Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 FE alongside the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra, with upgraded performance, new camera features and higher prices.
Samsung is set to host its August 2026 Galaxy Event this Thursday, where the company is expected to introduce the Galaxy S26 FE along with two new flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to retain much of the design and hardware approach of its predecessor while bringing a new processor, improved software features and potentially better battery endurance.
Galaxy S26 FE to get Exynos 2500
One of the biggest upgrades expected for the Galaxy S26 FE is its processor. Samsung is reportedly preparing to equip the smartphone with the Exynos 2500 chipset.
The Galaxy S24 FE featured a modified Exynos 2400e, while the Galaxy S25 FE used the standard Exynos 2400. The new model is expected to make the jump to the newer Exynos 2500.
The phone is also expected to retain 8GB of RAM, with storage options reportedly including 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
Display and design expected to remain unchanged
Samsung is reportedly keeping the Galaxy S26 FE’s display similar to last year’s model.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device could also retain an aluminium frame, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Its thickness is expected to remain around 7.4mm.
The Galaxy S26 FE is reportedly set to launch in three colours: Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio.
4,900mAh battery and 45W charging
The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature a 4,900mAh battery, matching the capacity of its predecessor.
Charging speeds are also unlikely to change, with the phone reportedly supporting 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Despite using the same battery capacity, the Galaxy S26 FE could offer longer endurance because of the improved efficiency of the Exynos 2500 chipset.
Camera hardware gets minor changes
Samsung is not expected to make major changes to the Galaxy S26 FE’s camera hardware.
The phone is reportedly set to feature a 50MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. A 12MP selfie camera is expected on the front.
However, Samsung could focus more heavily on software improvements.
The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to support features such as Horizon Lock, which automatically keeps videos level while recording. The My FanCam feature could also track a person within an ultrawide video and keep them centred in the frame.
Another expected addition is Audio Eraser, which can reduce unwanted sounds such as wind noise and background conversations from recorded videos.
Galaxy S26 FE price expected to increase
The Galaxy S26 FE is reportedly set to cost more than the Galaxy S25 FE.
Leaked European pricing suggests the 8GB/128GB model could cost €800, compared with €750 for its predecessor.
The 8GB/256GB version is reportedly priced at €900, up from €810, while the 8GB/512GB variant could reach €1,100 compared with €930 previously.
The reported price increases range from €50 to €170 depending on the storage configuration.
Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra also expected
Samsung is also expected to introduce two flagship tablets at the event.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ is reportedly set to feature a 12.4-inch display and MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. A larger battery has also been rumoured, although its exact capacity remains unclear.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to feature a large 14.6-inch display and an 11,600mAh battery. The tablet is reportedly expected to retain 45W charging.
Both tablets are expected to be available in Wi-Fi and 5G versions, with the 5G variants reportedly carrying a $150 premium.
Leaked US pricing suggests the Galaxy Tab S12+ could start at $1,200 for 256GB, while the 512GB version could cost $1,400.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is reportedly priced at $1,400 for 256GB, $1,600 for 512GB and $2,000 for the 1TB model.
Samsung is expected to reveal the official specifications, pricing and availability of the Galaxy S26 FE and new Galaxy Tab models during its August Galaxy Event.
