As Samsung prepares to unveil its next-generation flagship lineup, fresh information has surfaced clarifying the structure of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series.
While recent speculation suggested major changes to the lineup, including the possible introduction of Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Pro models, new evidence indicates that Samsung is sticking to its traditional strategy.
According to a promotional PDF document published by Samsung Colombia, the Galaxy S26 series will consist of three models: the standard Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Notably, there is no mention of a Galaxy S26 Edge or Galaxy S26 Pro in the official material, reinforcing earlier rumors that dismissed the possibility of these variants replacing existing models.
This latest leak effectively confirms that the Galaxy S26 Plus will remain part of Samsung’s flagship lineup and will not be replaced by an Edge variant. Similarly, the standard Galaxy S26 is expected to retain its position, with no Pro-branded model taking its place. The information aligns with previous reports that suggested Samsung would avoid experimenting with its naming strategy for the S26 generation.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to make its official debut at Samsung’s annual Galaxy Unpacked event later this year. While Samsung has not yet revealed detailed specifications, the S26 Ultra is widely anticipated to lead the lineup with premium features, advanced camera technology, and top-tier performance, while the S26 and S26 Plus will cater to users seeking a balance between power and price.
That said, the absence of the Edge and Pro models does not necessarily mean they have been permanently cancelled. Industry insiders suggest that Samsung could be exploring alternative release timelines or evaluating market demand before committing to additional variants. A delayed launch for a Galaxy S26 Edge model, in particular, cannot be completely ruled out at this stage.
