Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has emerged as the standout performer in Samsung’s latest flagship lineup, helping the Samsung Galaxy S26 series set a new pre-order milestone in South Korea. According to the company, the new lineup recorded 1.35 million pre-orders within just seven days, from February 27 to March 5.

This achievement marks a significant improvement over last year’s launch. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series reached 1.3 million pre-orders in 11 days, meaning the new generation surpassed that figure in a much shorter time. If the trend continues, the latest Galaxy lineup could potentially challenge the long-standing sales milestone set by the Samsung Galaxy Note10 in 2019.

Among the three models, the Galaxy S26 Ultra proved to be the most popular choice by a wide margin. The flagship device accounted for an impressive 70% of all pre-orders in the series. While Samsung’s Ultra models typically lead in demand due to their premium features, this level of dominance is unusual. For comparison, the S25 Ultra represented around 52% of total pre-orders last year.

Samsung has not yet revealed the exact distribution between the standard Samsung Galaxy S26 and the Samsung Galaxy S26+ models, which together make up the remaining 30% of orders. In the previous generation, demand was relatively balanced, with 26% of buyers choosing the base model and 22% opting for the Plus variant. However, this year both models appear to have struggled to attract the same level of attention compared with the Ultra.

Color preferences also revealed interesting trends among buyers. Galaxy S26 Ultra customers largely preferred classic shades such as Black and White, making them the most popular color options. On the other hand, buyers of the Galaxy S26+ showed slightly more adventurous tastes, with Cobalt Violet and Black emerging as the leading choices.

All three Galaxy S26 models are available in four standard colors along with two exclusive shades on Samsung’s official website. Despite the variety, consumer behavior suggests that many buyers still gravitate toward traditional color options rather than bold new designs.

The record-breaking pre-orders highlight the strong market demand for Samsung’s latest flagship devices, particularly the feature-packed Galaxy S26 Ultra.
