Samsung is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in Brooklyn, New York. The highly anticipated event will begin at 2:00 PM UTC and be livestreamed globally on Samsung’s website and YouTube.
This mid-year showcase will focus on Samsung’s latest innovations in foldable smartphones and smartwatches. The headline launches include the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, and the Galaxy Watch8 Series, featuring the Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and Watch8 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 will be the brand’s thinnest and lightest foldable yet. Expected to feature a 200MP main camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and up to 1TB of storage, the Fold7 emphasizes power and portability.
Its slim profile (rumored at 8.9mm folded and 4.2mm unfolded) comes with a 4,400mAh battery capable of 40+ hours on a single charge. With IP48 protection, AI-powered camera features, and three elegant color options (Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, and Jet Black), the Fold7 is built for performance and style.
Samsung’s flip series grows with the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE. The Flip7 boasts a larger 4.1-inch cover display, a 4,300mAh battery, and up to 512GB storage with 12GB RAM.
It may debut with the new Exynos 2500 chip, while North American and Chinese variants could use Snapdragon. The Flip7 FE offers a more affordable alternative with Exynos 2400, 8GB RAM, and storage options of 128GB and 256GB.
The Galaxy Watch8 lineup introduces a refreshed “squircle” design. All models run on the Exynos W1000 chip and debut the new One UI 8 Watch, which emphasizes health tracking and fitness tools. The Watch8 Ultra will come with a rotating bezel and crown, while the base Watch8 sticks to a minimalist button layout. LTE models will be offered, and battery improvements are included.
Pre-orders for all new devices will begin immediately after the event, with official sales starting July 25, 2025. Samsung may also tease a tri-fold smartphone, though its release is expected to be limited to select markets like China and Korea.
