Samsung has started rolling out the second One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip6, just two weeks after introducing the first beta version of its Android 16-based software.
The latest update not only improves system performance but also brings a notable feature along with the September 2025 security patch.
The new beta firmware, identified as version F741NKSU2ZYHB, is currently being released in South Korea. The update file is sized around 915MB, meaning users should ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection before downloading. Those enrolled in the One UI 8 beta program can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > Software update on their Galaxy Z Flip6.
One of the key highlights of this update is the inclusion of Now Brief, a feature that first debuted with the Galaxy S25 series. This addition enhances the overall user experience by offering quick, context-aware updates directly on the foldable device. Alongside this, Samsung has bundled the September 2025 Android security patch, strengthening the phone’s protection against potential vulnerabilities.
In addition to the new feature and security upgrade, Samsung has addressed several bugs reported in the initial beta release. While the company has not detailed every fix, improvements in stability and performance are expected, making the Galaxy Z Flip6’s foldable experience smoother.
The One UI 8 beta program gives early access to upcoming features ahead of the stable release, and Samsung continues to refine its Android 16 interface with regular updates. For Galaxy Z Flip6 users outside South Korea, the rollout is likely to expand to other regions in the coming weeks.
With Samsung focusing on feature-rich updates and timely security patches, the Galaxy Z Flip6 remains one of the most promising foldable smartphones of 2025. Users participating in the beta program can look forward to more refinements before the official public release of One UI 8 later this year.
