Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 Renders Reveal Familiar Design

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8 has surfaced in newly leaked CAD-based renders, giving fans an early look at the company’s next-generation foldable smartphone. The images reveal the device from multiple angles, suggesting that Samsung is sticking with a familiar design language for this year’s clamshell foldable.

The renders follow last month’s leak of the Galaxy Z Fold8, the larger book-style foldable expected to debut alongside the Flip8. Together with another rumored device known as the “Wide Fold,” Samsung is likely preparing a significant foldable lineup for its next Galaxy Unpacked event.

According to the leaked information, the Galaxy Z Flip8 will measure 166.8 x 75.4 x 6.6 mm when unfolded and 85.4 x 75.4 x 13.2 mm when folded. These dimensions indicate that the phone will be slightly longer, wider, and thicker than last year’s Galaxy Z Flip7 when opened. However, the difference is extremely small and unlikely to be noticeable during everyday use.

Interestingly, when folded, the Flip8 will be about 0.5 mm thinner than its predecessor, offering a marginal improvement in compactness. While the change is subtle, it could contribute to a more refined feel in hand and pocket.

In terms of display, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is expected to feature a 6.9-inch internal foldable screen along with a 4.1-inch cover display. These screen sizes are identical to those found on the Galaxy Z Flip7, suggesting that Samsung is maintaining the same display configuration for another generation.

The CAD renders also indicate that the overall external design remains largely unchanged. The camera placement, cover display layout, and hinge structure appear very similar to the previous model. This suggests that Samsung may be focusing its improvements on internal hardware rather than introducing major visual changes.

Industry watchers expect upgrades in areas such as performance, battery efficiency, and possibly improved hinge durability or camera enhancements.

Samsung is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip8 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 during its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, following the company’s typical launch timeline for foldable devices.

As anticipation builds, the Flip8 appears poised to refine Samsung’s established foldable formula rather than reinvent it, potentially delivering improved performance while keeping the familiar design fans already recognize.
