The development validates earlier rumors suggesting that Samsung will introduce two book-style foldable smartphones this year: the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the premium Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
The certification confirms that the “Ultra” branding is genuine, ending speculation surrounding Samsung’s naming strategy for its next-generation foldables.
Samsung’s Fold8 Naming Strategy Caused Confusion
Recent reports indicated that Samsung revised the naming convention for its upcoming foldable devices. The smartphone previously referred to as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is now expected to launch as the Galaxy Z Fold8, while the device earlier rumored as the standard Fold8 has reportedly been renamed the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
Although Samsung has not officially commented on the changes, the Bluetooth SIG database listing strongly supports the revised branding.
