Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy Z TriFold has quickly become one of the most in-demand smartphones in South Korea.
The innovative tri-foldable device went on sale last week and sold out within minutes, highlighting strong consumer interest in Samsung’s latest foldable technology. For buyers who missed out during the initial launch, a restock is now officially expected within days.
According to a report by South Korean publication The Chosun, Samsung is preparing to replenish Galaxy Z TriFold stock through its official online store. Insiders claim that new units will be available on Samsung.com at 10am on Wednesday. However, prospective buyers should act fast, as demand remains extremely high and supplies are limited.
The report suggests that only around 3,000 Galaxy Z TriFold units are allocated for the domestic Korean market in this restock. Given how quickly the first batch sold out, the upcoming release is also expected to disappear within minutes. In addition to online sales, select offline Samsung stores may receive additional inventory, although the company has not confirmed which locations will be included.
During its launch on the 12th, the Galaxy Z TriFold was available at just 20 physical retail stores across South Korea. Long queues and heavy foot traffic were reported, particularly at flagship locations such as Samsung Gangnam, where early buyers were seen securing the device shortly after stores opened.
Scalpers have further intensified the shortage. The Galaxy Z TriFold officially launched with a price tag of KRW 3,594,000. Shortly after selling out, listings appeared on secondhand platforms with inflated prices, some reaching KRW 4 million and extreme cases climbing as high as KRW 10 million.
The upcoming restock will maintain the original retail price of KRW 3,594,000, which could temporarily stabilize resale prices on secondary markets. However, analysts believe this price correction may be short-lived, as Samsung is expected to sell out the new batch rapidly.
With limited availability and overwhelming demand, the Galaxy Z TriFold continues to generate buzz as one of Samsung’s most exclusive foldable devices to date.
