Samsung has officially launched its latest foldable smartphones — the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE — offering significant upgrades over previous generations.
Both models run One UI 8 based on Android 16, introducing advanced AI features and improved multitasking, especially on the FlexWindow.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7: Slimmer, Smarter, Stronger
The Galaxy Z Flip7 now features a slimmer profile, measuring 13.7mm folded and 6.5mm unfolded, while increasing battery capacity to 4,300mAh. Despite these upgrades, the weight remains nearly the same at 188g. The cover screen has expanded to a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED panel, boasting 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits brightness, ideal for outdoor use.
New AI-driven functions, like Google Gemini and Auto Zoom, enhance the user experience by offering real-time camera tracking and smart content suggestions. The main display is now 6.9 inches, similar in size to the Galaxy S25+, making it more immersive while retaining foldability.
The Flip7 is powered by the 3nm Exynos 2500 chip, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, eliminating the Snapdragon variant for North America. It supports 25W fast charging and wireless charging, offering up to 31 hours of video playback on a full charge.
Photography gets a boost with a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultra-wide sensor, plus HDR video recording and real-time filter previews on the cover screen.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE: Budget-Friendly Foldable
The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE debuts as Samsung’s first Fan Edition foldable. Priced $200 less than the base Flip7, it includes the Exynos 2400 chip, 8GB RAM, and 128GB or 256GB storage. This model closely resembles the Z Flip6 with a 3.4-inch cover display, 6.7-inch inner screen, and 4,000mAh battery.
It lacks HDR video but retains the IP48 rating, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and dual 50MP + 12MP rear cameras. Available only in Black and White, the Flip7 FE delivers core foldable features at a more accessible price point.
