Samsung has officially launched its next-generation foldable smartphones—the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7—setting a new benchmark for sleekness and innovation.

These devices are the thinnest and lightest foldables in their class, combining cutting-edge technology with a refined design for unmatched portability and performance.

Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 Prices & Specs

The Galaxy Z Fold7 starts at $1,999.99 (€2,099.00) and is available in 256GB and 512GB storage options, both with 12GB RAM. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is priced from $1,099.99 (€1,199.00), also available in 256GB and 512GB variants with 12GB RAM.

Innovation Behind the Design

Samsung revealed that since introducing the first Galaxy Fold in 2019, it has consistently pursued the vision of delivering expansive screen experiences in compact, pocket-sized form factors. Over the years, screens have grown larger while devices have become slimmer and lighter.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 showcases this progress by housing a 300 mAh denser battery while maintaining a thinner profile—just 6.5mm when open and 13.7mm when closed. This is achieved through ultra-high-density internal circuit boards that eliminate wasted space.

Galaxy Z Fold7: Bigger, Brighter, and Stronger

The Fold7 features a brighter display with a wider 21:9 aspect ratio and is nearly half as thick as the original Galaxy Fold. Its third-generation Armor FlexHinge is 27% thinner and 43% lighter than that of the Fold6. Newly designed hinge components and a reinforced alloy structure improve durability and reduce the device’s crease visibility.

Galaxy Z Flip7: Slimmest FlexHinge and Thinnest Bezels

Samsung claims the Flip7 includes its slimmest FlexHinge yet—29% thinner than the Flip6’s. It also introduces an edge-to-edge Infinity Cover Display with reduced bezels, now just 1.25mm thick—the narrowest ever on a foldable.

Enhanced Display and Camera TechnologyThe Fold7’s main screen is 39% thinner with a 50% thicker Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) layer, offering a smoother and less visible crease. It also debuts the first 200MP main camera on a foldable phone. Additional durability upgrades include Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the cover screen and Advanced Armor Aluminum for the frame and hinge cover, which is 10% tougher than previous models.

These innovations mark a significant leap in foldable smartphone design, pushing the limits of portability, strength, and user experience.
