Samsung is gearing up to roll out the One UI 8 beta, built on Android 16, starting with its latest Galaxy S24 series.
While the company officially confirmed the beta rollout for next week for Galaxy S24 models and next month for Galaxy S23 devices, it didn’t disclose exact launch dates.
However, a well-known tipster on X (formerly Twitter) has reportedly leaked the precise beta rollout timeline. According to the leak, the Galaxy S24 series is set to receive the One UI 8 beta on August 13, while the Galaxy S23 series is expected to follow on September 8.
Though these dates remain unofficial, the source cautions that Samsung might alter the schedule slightly, stating the company “loves surprises”, and may launch the beta for older flagships a day or two earlier—or later—than planned.
The One UI 8 update is expected to bring a range of new features, design refinements, and enhanced AI-powered functionality, offering a smoother and more personalized experience across supported devices. Samsung’s commitment to providing early access through its beta program helps developers and enthusiasts explore the new OS before the stable version is released.
Looking ahead, Samsung is likely to roll out the stable One UI 8 update starting with the upcoming Galaxy S25 series, possibly launching next month. Following that, older Galaxy devices will receive the stable update in descending order of release, meaning newer models will get priority over older ones.
The upcoming beta program is a key part of Samsung’s strategy to keep its flagship users at the forefront of Android innovation, ensuring timely software experiences across its ecosystem.
