Samsung Quick Share now lets users share Wallet tickets and boarding passes directly from supported Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
Samsung has started rolling out a new update for its Quick Share app, introducing a convenient feature that allows users to share items stored in Samsung Wallet directly through Quick Share.
The update is being released for compatible Samsung smartphones and tablets and makes it easier for users to send digital tickets and boarding passes to other people.
Quick Share adds Samsung Wallet sharing
With the latest update, users can now share certain Samsung Wallet items through Quick Share.
The feature supports items such as event tickets and airline boarding passes, allowing users to send them to another device without having to manually open Samsung Wallet and transfer the relevant information through another method.
For example, someone attending an event with friends can quickly share a digital ticket using Quick Share. Similarly, a traveller can send a boarding pass to another person more conveniently when required.
The integration provides a more seamless connection between Samsung’s file-sharing service and its digital wallet platform.
Update also brings bug fixes
Alongside Samsung Wallet support, the latest Quick Share update also includes bug fixes aimed at improving the overall reliability of the application.
Samsung appears to be rolling out the update gradually, meaning it may take some time before the new feature becomes available on every supported Galaxy smartphone and tablet.
Users who have not received the update automatically can manually check whether it is available through the Galaxy Store.
How to check for the Quick Share update
Galaxy users can check for the latest Quick Share version by opening the Galaxy Store and tapping the three-dot menu.
They can then select Updates followed by Update all to check for available application updates.
If the Quick Share update has reached the device, users should be able to install it and access the new Samsung Wallet sharing functionality.
The staged rollout means some users may have to wait before the update appears on their devices.
The addition of Samsung Wallet support further expands Quick Share’s usefulness, allowing Galaxy users to share not only files and other content but also important digital items such as tickets and boarding passes through a simple sharing process.
