Samsung has officially released the much-awaited Android 16-based One UI 8 stable update for the Galaxy S24 FE, following the rollout for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models earlier this month.
The update marks a significant step in enhancing the user experience with improved performance, better security, and several new features.
The latest update is currently rolling out in Europe and Iran and comes with the firmware version S721BXXU7CYI5/S721BOXM7CYI5/S721BOJM7CYI5. It also includes the September 2025 Android security patch, ensuring better device protection against vulnerabilities. Since the update size exceeds 3GB, Samsung advises users to connect to a Wi-Fi network before downloading to avoid excessive data usage.
For users who have not yet received the update notification, it can be checked manually by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install on the Galaxy S24 FE. Once installed, users can expect a smoother interface, enhanced customization options, improved battery optimization, and deeper AI integration for smarter device performance.
The One UI 8 update also brings refinements to multitasking, advanced privacy controls, and more efficient background processing. Additionally, Samsung has focused on improving system animations and overall device responsiveness, delivering a more seamless and fluid user experience.
The Galaxy S24 FE, known for offering flagship-level features at a more affordable price point, becomes even more compelling with this new software upgrade. The device is available in multiple variants, including 128GB + 8GB RAM starting at $265 (€352.59) and 256GB + 8GB RAM priced at $355.46 (€449.83).
With this rollout, Samsung continues its strong software support policy, ensuring that even its “Fan Edition” models receive timely updates. The arrival of One UI 8 based on Android 16 confirms Samsung’s commitment to delivering a premium software experience across its smartphone lineup.
This update is expected to reach more regions in the coming weeks, so users are encouraged to keep an eye on their device settings for the latest version.
