The latest beta update brings a large software package and adds several features previously introduced with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 lineup.
Samsung has released the seventh One UI 9 beta update for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, shortly after rolling out the sixth beta earlier this week.
The unexpected update weighs more than 1.2GB and carries a firmware version ending in ZZHK. It includes further improvements and fixes as Samsung continues testing One UI 9 ahead of its wider stable release.
Although some additions were not mentioned in the official changelog, reports indicate that the update also introduces several features previously launched with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 series.
Among the new additions are Custom Cards in Now Brief, allowing users to receive more personalised information through Samsung’s AI-powered interface.
The update also reportedly brings My FanCam, a feature designed to improve video framing and subject tracking. The feature can help keep a selected person in focus within a video and is aimed at making content creation more convenient.
Another notable addition is the introduction of unified Finder and Google Search widgets for the home screen, giving Galaxy S26 users easier access to device and web searches.
The latest One UI 9 Beta 7 update is currently available to eligible Galaxy S26 series users enrolled in Samsung’s beta programme in South Korea, India, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom.
Users participating in the beta programme who have not yet received the update can manually check for availability by opening the Settings app and navigating to Software update.
The rapid release of a seventh beta suggests Samsung is continuing to refine the software and introduce additional features before the final version of One UI 9 reaches more users.
The Galaxy S26 series includes the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, with all three devices receiving the latest beta release.
Samsung has not yet confirmed when the stable version of One UI 9 will begin rolling out globally. However, the continued beta releases indicate that development remains active as the company works to improve performance, stability and the overall user experience.
