Samsung Electronics has announced a major expansion of its smart TV ecosystem as the company works to integrate Google Photos into Samsung TVs.
The upcoming feature is designed to give users a seamless and immersive way to relive their favorite memories — from family moments and travel adventures to everyday snapshots — on a larger cinematic screen.
According to Samsung, the integration will turn TVs into a meaningful storytelling hub inside the home, allowing families to rediscover personal memories together in a more engaging format.
Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at Samsung’s Visual Display Business, said that Samsung TVs have always been a space where people connect, and bringing Google Photos to the big screen makes that experience even more personal. Through this partnership, users will be able to revisit cherished moments and enjoy photo-driven stories right from their living room.
With Google Photos support, Samsung TV users will be able to access their photo libraries directly on the TV after signing in with their Google Account. Photos and memories will be curated intelligently by people, places, themes, and meaningful moments, offering a more intuitive browsing experience. The feature is also expected to connect with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, enhancing how photos surface throughout the day through experiences like Daily+ and Daily Board.
Samsung and Google also outlined three upcoming Google Photos features planned for Samsung TVs. “Memories,” expected to debut in early 2026 as a Samsung-exclusive for six months, will present curated story collections on TV for the first time. “Create with AI,” launching later in 2026, will introduce playful editing tools powered by Google DeepMind, allowing users to transform photos, remix art styles, or generate short video clips. Another feature, “Personalized Results,” will let users explore related photo collections based on themes such as travel, nature, or events.
The companies say the collaboration aims to bring a cinematic gallery experience to the home, turning personal photo libraries into a space for reflection, creativity, and storytelling.
Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos and Google One, said that Google Photos is already a home for people’s memories, and expanding it to Samsung TVs will allow users to reconnect with their favorite moments on a larger and more immersive screen.
