Samsung is reportedly gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 smartphones in early July, with the event set to take place in New York City.
While an official date has yet to be confirmed, this information comes from a new report out of South Korea, adding more weight to earlier rumors about the upcoming Unpacked event.
This marks a notable return to New York for Samsung’s physical product launches. The last time the tech giant held an in-person event in the city was in 2019, during the unveiling of the Galaxy Note10.
In 2022, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4 through a virtual event from New York, but the upcoming showcase is expected to be a fully physical affair.
Adding to the excitement, Samsung has teased a new Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra, which could either be a more premium variant of the Fold7 or perhaps a rebranded version of its long-rumored tri-fold device. There’s still some mystery surrounding whether the Ultra and Fold7 are separate models or simply different names for the same product.
The Fold7 Ultra is expected to push the boundaries of foldable technology even further, potentially introducing upgraded specs, improved durability, and new multitasking features. Meanwhile, the regular Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 are likely to continue Samsung’s trend of refining foldable devices with thinner designs, brighter displays, and better battery efficiency.
In addition to these flagship devices, the launch may also feature the debut of the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a more affordable version of the popular clamshell foldable.
As the event draws closer, leaks and teasers are expected to ramp up, giving fans a clearer picture of what Samsung has in store. One thing is certain: July’s Unpacked event in New York is shaping up to be a major milestone in the company’s foldable journey.
