Samsung is gearing up for its highly anticipated summer Unpacked event, which is now confirmed to take place on July 9 at 10 AM EDT.

The timing aligns with previous leaks and strongly suggests New York City as the host location, although Samsung has yet to officially confirm the venue.

The date comes courtesy of renowned tech leaker Evan Blass, who revealed the schedule along with global time zone equivalents: 7 AM in Los Angeles, 3 PM in London, 4 PM in Paris and Berlin, 7:30 PM in India, and 11 PM in South Korea. The consistency of the time zones with New York’s suggests that the event will likely take place in the U.S., continuing Samsung’s trend of high-profile American launches.

Speculation around the event’s timing has circulated for weeks, with early July and mid-July both floated as possibilities. Interestingly, last year’s summer Unpacked was held on July 10, making this year’s event nearly identical in schedule.

This year’s Unpacked is expected to showcase a slew of new devices, making it one of the most feature-rich events in Samsung’s recent history. The headline acts will be the next generation of foldables: the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. Also set to make their debut are Samsung’s latest wearables, including the Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and the high-end Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).

Rumors are also swirling about a more affordable foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, which could expand the reach of Samsung’s foldable lineup to a broader audience.

In addition to hardware, the event might offer another sneak peek at Samsung’s first-ever XR (extended reality) headset. While a full reveal is reportedly scheduled for late September, Unpacked could offer new insights or features related to the device.

With so many products lined up, Samsung’s July Unpacked may be one of its most pivotal events yet — and despite the name, it promises to be absolutely packed.
