Saudi Arabia Allows All Visa Holders to Perform Umrah

Hajj 2023

Jeddah, October 6, 2025 – The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that individuals holding any type of visa can now perform Umrah rituals while staying in Saudi Arabia, further enhancing accessibility for Muslims worldwide.

According to the ministry, the decision applies to all visa categories — including personal, family visit, e-tourist, transit, and work visas. This initiative aligns with the Kingdom’s broader efforts to make Umrah more accessible and to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims from across the globe. The move reflects Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of expanding religious tourism and improving the experience of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

The ministry emphasized that this measure is part of its ongoing strategy to simplify procedures for pilgrims and extend the benefits of the Hajj and Umrah services to a wider audience. In line with this initiative, the ministry also launched the Nusuk Umrah platform — a digital service designed to streamline the pilgrimage experience.

Through this platform, worshippers can easily register, choose travel packages, and obtain their Umrah permits electronically, allowing for smooth planning and scheduling.

“This reflects the continued commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to serve the guests of God,” the ministry said, highlighting efforts to ensure a peaceful, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Umrah experience for all visitors.
