Islamabad, October 7, 2025 – A high-profile business delegation from Saudi Arabia, headed by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, arrived in Islamabad to strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations between the two nations.
According to official sources, the delegation includes prominent Saudi investors, business leaders, and representatives from major corporations. Their visit aims to explore new opportunities for expanding economic cooperation under the framework of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council.
During their stay, Prince Mansour and his accompanying delegation will hold meetings with Pakistan’s top leadership, senior government officials, chambers of commerce, and key business groups. These engagements will focus on identifying sectors where the two countries can enhance collaboration, particularly in areas aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s economic reform agenda.
Officials noted that discussions are expected to emphasize trade and investment facilitation, joint ventures in energy and infrastructure, and increased participation of Saudi enterprises in Pakistan’s industrial and technology sectors. The visit highlights the deep-rooted ties of friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
This latest delegation visit follows the signing of the “Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement” between Islamabad and Riyadh on September 17, which pledges mutual support in case of external aggression. The historic pact reflects both nations’ shared resolve to strengthen defence cooperation, regional security, and stability.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the agreement “demonstrates the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing peace, security, and mutual development.” The pact was finalized during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Riyadh, where he met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace.
Experts have hailed the agreement as a major milestone in Pakistan-Saudi relations, calling it a step toward long-term strategic cooperation. They believe that the arrival of the Saudi business delegation, alongside deepening defence collaboration, marks a new era of partnership focused on shared prosperity, security, and sustainable growth across multiple sectors.
