Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has officially announced the launch timeline for its upcoming range of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) in Pakistan, marking a major step forward in the local automotive industry’s electrification journey.
The company has begun pre-bookings for its first PHEV in Pakistan—the Haval H6 Hi4 1.5L AT AWD Turbo PHEV. This model promises a blend of powerful performance and fuel efficiency through its plug-in hybrid system.
The vehicle features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine combined with an advanced electric drive system, offering all-wheel drive (AWD) capabilities for improved road grip and handling.
According to the company, the first locally assembled (CKD) units of this model are expected to hit the market by August 2025.
The Haval H6 Hi4 PHEV is positioned to attract eco-conscious consumers seeking modern SUV styling, advanced technology, and reduced emissions.
With the automotive industry gradually shifting towards greener mobility, this launch puts Sazgar at the forefront of innovation in Pakistan’s hybrid vehicle market.
In addition to the Haval H6 PHEV, Sazgar has announced plans to introduce two more hybrid vehicles under its CKD lineup.
These include the TANK-500 Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV, a robust SUV designed for adventure and performance, and the CANNON ALPHA Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV, a plug-in hybrid pickup truck engineered for both work and leisure.
Both models feature 2.0-liter turbocharged engines paired with advanced plug-in hybrid systems and 4×4 drive configurations.
The rollout of the CKD versions of these two new PHEV models is scheduled for completion by March 31, 2026, signaling a significant expansion of Sazgar’s hybrid portfolio over the next year.
This strategic move by Sazgar reflects growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions in Pakistan. By introducing multiple PHEV models, the company aims to provide versatile, fuel-efficient options across different vehicle categories—SUVs and pickups alike.
With these developments, Sazgar continues to play a key role in reshaping the local auto landscape by bringing advanced hybrid technology to Pakistani roads.
