Strong consumer demand and pre-budget buying drive Sazgar’s four-wheeler sales to record growth in June 2026.
Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) posted a remarkable increase in vehicle sales during June 2026, reflecting strong consumer demand and growing interest in hybrid vehicles across Pakistan.
The company reported a 70 percent month-on-month (MoM) rise in four-wheeler sales, making it one of the strongest monthly performances in the local automotive industry this year.
According to the latest sales figures, Sazgar sold 2,720 four-wheelers in June, representing an impressive 102 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to the same month last year. The company’s cumulative four-wheeler sales for FY26 reached 19,179 units, marking a substantial 77 percent growth over the previous fiscal year.
Industry experts believe that June’s exceptional performance was largely driven by improving consumer confidence and a surge in purchases ahead of anticipated post-budget price increases.
Many buyers accelerated their vehicle purchase decisions to avoid higher prices expected after the implementation of new fiscal measures announced in the federal budget.
Analysts noted that Pakistan’s automotive sector has been benefiting from a more stable macroeconomic environment, easing inflationary pressures, and improved access to vehicle financing.
These factors have supported demand for new vehicles, particularly in the hybrid and fuel-efficient segments, which continue to gain popularity among Pakistani consumers.
Sazgar has established a strong position in the hybrid vehicle market through its lineup of Great Wall Motors (GWM) models.
The company currently offers popular vehicles including the H6 HEV SUV, Jolion HEV, and Tank HEV, all of which have played a significant role in driving sales growth. These models have emerged as leading choices among buyers seeking modern technology, fuel efficiency, and premium features.
However, industry observers caution that the outlook may become more challenging in the coming months. The recent increase in sales tax is expected to raise the prices of hybrid vehicles, potentially impacting consumer demand.
As vehicle prices move higher, demand for hybrid models could slow, affecting overall sales momentum.
Despite these concerns, Sazgar’s strong FY26 performance highlights the growing acceptance of hybrid vehicles in Pakistan and underscores the company’s expanding presence in the country’s evolving automotive market.
