Sazgar Vehicle Sales Surge 188% in January as SUVs Drive Growth

H6 Facelift

Sazgar Engineering Works Company has kicked off the new year with a powerful surge in vehicle sales, signaling renewed momentum in Pakistan’s automotive market.

Fresh data submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) shows that January proved to be a breakout month for the company, with sales volumes jumping sharply across multiple segments.

According to the filing, Sazgar sold 6,165 vehicles in January, marking an impressive 188.2% increase compared to 2,139 units sold in December 2025.

The sharp month-on-month rise highlights improving consumer confidence, better supply conditions, and growing interest in both passenger vehicles and commercial mobility solutions offered by the company.

Looking at the broader picture, Sazgar’s performance over the first seven months of the ongoing financial year also reflects steady growth.

Total vehicle sales during this period reached 23,788 units, representing a 12.8% increase compared to the same timeframe of the previous financial year.

This upward trend suggests that the company is not only benefiting from short-term demand but is also strengthening its market position over the longer term.

A major contributor to January’s strong showing was Haval, Sazgar’s premium SUV brand in Pakistan. Haval recorded sales of 2,004 units in January, up 72% from 1,165 units in December.

The brand’s consistent demand underscores the rising preference among Pakistani consumers for modern, feature-rich SUVs, even amid economic pressures.

On a cumulative basis, Haval sold 9,214 units during the first seven months of the financial year, reflecting a robust 48.9% growth compared to 6,189 units in the same period last year.

This solid performance positions Haval as one of the fastest-growing players in Pakistan’s SUV segment.

Meanwhile, Sazgar’s three-wheeler segment also delivered standout results. In January, the company sold 4,161 three-wheelers, recording a massive 327.2% jump compared to just 974 units in December.

The surge points to renewed activity in the commercial and last-mile transport sectors, where three-wheelers remain a vital source of livelihood.

However, on a year-to-date basis, three-wheeler sales showed a slight dip.

During the first seven months of the financial year, Sazgar sold 14,574 units, marginally 2.2% lower than 14,904 units sold in the corresponding period last year.

Overall, Sazgar Engineering’s January performance highlights a strong rebound in demand, particularly for SUVs and commercial vehicles.

If current momentum continues, the company could be on track for an even stronger finish to the financial year, reinforcing optimism around Pakistan’s evolving automotive landscape.
