Karachi, October 9, 2025 – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released the latest Karachi Interbank Offered Rates (KIBOR) for Thursday, reflecting minor fluctuations across short and long-term tenors.
The KIBOR, a key benchmark used by banks for lending and borrowing in the interbank market, showed mixed movement compared to the previous day’s rates.
According to the SBP data, the KIBOR for one-week tenor stood at 10.79% (bid) and 11.29% (offer), slightly higher than Wednesday’s 10.78% and 11.28%, respectively. Similarly, the one-year tenor was quoted at 10.88% (bid) and 11.38% (offer), marginally lower than the previous day’s figures.
The KIBOR plays a vital role in determining borrowing costs for businesses and consumers, influencing financing rates for housing, auto, and corporate loans.
