Karachi, September 29, 2025 – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday released the updated Karachi Interbank Offered Rates (KIBOR), a key benchmark used by banks and financial institutions for lending and borrowing.
The latest update shows slight adjustments in some short-term tenors compared to the rates announced on Friday, September 26, 2025.
According to the SBP release, the one-week KIBOR bid was recorded at 10.87 percent with the offer at 11.37 percent on Monday, reflecting a marginal increase from Friday’s 10.86 percent bid and 11.36 percent offer. However, most other tenors, including the three-month and six-month KIBOR, remained stable at previous levels, indicating consistency in medium-term lending benchmarks.
Market analysts note that while minor fluctuations in short-term KIBOR are common, they are closely monitored as they can influence short-term borrowing costs for businesses and individuals. Stability in the one-year tenor at 10.81 percent (bid) and 11.31 percent (offer) highlights that long-term lending benchmarks have remained unchanged.
