The 24-year-old actress says starring alongside her father in Tulsa King has brought them closer and helped them develop a friendship.
Scarlet Rose Stallone says working alongside her father, Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, has “completely changed” their relationship.
The 24-year-old actress shared her thoughts during an appearance at PaleyFest NY on Saturday, where she discussed working with the Rocky star, 80, on Paramount+ crime drama Tulsa King.
“It’s a complete 180,” Scarlet told PEOPLE, adding that after five years of working together, their professional relationship had become natural.
She said she particularly valued the opportunity to spend more time with her father on set.
“Before, he was working constantly, so getting to work together for once is just an amazing opportunity,” she explained.
Scarlet added that the experience had helped them grow closer and become friends.
‘Tulsa King’ brings father and daughter closer
The actress has previously spoken about how the series helped bridge a gap in their relationship.
In an earlier interview with TV Insider, Scarlet recalled that her father had been busy working throughout much of her childhood, which created some distance between them.
Working together on Tulsa King allowed her to see a different side of him and develop a deeper respect for his experience and career.
She also credited Stallone with helping her manage the pressures of acting, saying she enjoyed learning alongside him.
On the series, Scarlet plays Spencer, a horse caretaker, while her father stars as Dwight Manfredi, a New York mafia capo who builds a criminal operation in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
