Selena Gomez has once again proven the strength of her bond with Cardi B, as the rapper opened up about their friendship in a recent interview.
Cardi, 32, praised Gomez, 33, while promoting her new album Am I the Drama?, which officially dropped on Friday, September 19.
During her chat with CBS Mornings, the Grammy-winning artist spoke warmly about working with Gomez on the newly released track Pick It Up. Cardi admitted that Gomez’s contribution added something truly special to the song, saying, “She sounded really lovely for this track, and she’s always such a delight to work with.”
Cardi went on to emphasize that despite Gomez’s success and billionaire status, she remains grounded and supportive. “She’s a whole billionaire, but if you reach out to her, she’ll show up without hesitation. She’s not the type to disappear or make excuses—she comes through every time.” The rapper highlighted that this level of consistency is what sets Gomez apart in an industry often known for fleeting connections.
Gomez features on Am I the Drama? alongside other powerhouse names like Janet Jackson, Tyla, Summer Walker, Lizzo, and Megan Thee Stallion, making it one of Cardi’s most anticipated projects to date.
This isn’t the first time the two artists have teamed up. Back in 2018, Cardi and Gomez collaborated on the global hit Taki Taki with DJ Snake and Ozuna, proving their creative chemistry has only grown stronger with time.
