Selma Blair is sharing an inspiring update on her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis (MS), offering fans a hopeful glimpse into her improved health and emotional resilience.
The Cruel Intentions star, who was first diagnosed with the autoimmune disease in 2018, revealed that after years of treatments and flare-ups, she is now feeling significantly better and reconnecting with the version of herself she once knew.
Speaking in an exclusive conversation with People, the 53-year-old actress said she is finally experiencing greater stability in her health. “I’m relapse-free for a couple of years now, and I’m getting my stamina back all the time—traveling around and doing collaborations,” Blair shared, expressing both optimism and gratitude for her progress.
Blair also highlighted the deep emotional support she receives from her son, Arthur Saint Bleick, whom she credits as the greatest source of strength throughout her MS journey. “I think my joy is always gonna be from my son,” she said warmly, before joking, “I wish he felt the same way.”
The actress has often spoken about Arthur’s maturity and steadfastness, previously praising the 14-year-old for standing by her through some of her hardest moments. “I’m really in awe of how brave and wonderful he is, and he takes great care of me, too, when at times I need it,” she noted in an earlier interview.
Earlier this year, Blair revealed that she had not been “truly relapse-free,” making her recent progress even more meaningful. Her latest update signals renewed hope as she continues to advocate for MS awareness and inspire others living with chronic illness.
