Sharon Osbourne has shared emotional details about her late husband Ozzy Osbourne and his unwavering determination to perform one last time with Black Sabbath, despite being warned that the show could cost him his life.

Speaking on a podcast, Sharon recalled the intense weeks leading up to the band’s final concert, Back to the Beginning, held in England in 2025. She revealed that doctors had cautioned Ozzy just two weeks before the performance that going on stage could prove fatal.

“They said he could probably die, and he did,” Sharon, 73, told host Bunnie Xo. “But he wanted to do it so bad. He needed it.”

According to Sharon, Ozzy accepted his condition with remarkable clarity and resolve. “He said, ‘Whether I die in two weeks or I die in six months, I’m still dying. And I want to go my way,’” she recalled. “He went like a rock star.”

The legendary singer passed away just two weeks after the emotional farewell concert. Sharon revealed that Ozzy had developed sepsis earlier in 2025, which signaled that his health was rapidly declining. Despite doctors warning him that performing could be life-threatening, Ozzy remained steadfast.

“When he came out of hospital, they said, ‘This could kill you,’ and he said, ‘I’m doing my show,’” Sharon said. “He went out like a king.”

Reflecting on his final months, Sharon added that Ozzy was at peace with his decision. “When you’ve lived your life that way, it’s like, ‘OK, six months more — I’ll go out the way I want.’”

The revelations offer a powerful glimpse into the rock legend’s final act — one marked by courage, devotion to music, and an unbreakable bond with his fans.
