Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanks outgoing Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki for his role in deepening the longstanding Pakistan-Saudi relationship.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support and assistance, while highlighting the Kingdom’s role in promoting regional peace and stability.
The prime minister made the remarks during a farewell meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki at the Prime Minister’s House following the completion of his diplomatic assignment.
Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Al-Malki on completing his tenure and praised his contribution to strengthening the longstanding fraternal and strategic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister conveyed his warm regards and best wishes for the health and well-being of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
During the meeting, Shehbaz also expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan and its contribution to regional peace and stability.
Al-Malki thanks Pakistan for cooperation
Ambassador Al-Malki thanked the prime minister and the Government of Pakistan for the cooperation, hospitality and warmth extended to him during his tenure.
He described his time in Pakistan as a memorable and rewarding experience and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The prime minister wished the outgoing ambassador success and prosperity in his future endeavours.
Pakistan-Saudi ties continue to deepen
The farewell meeting comes as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue to expand economic, diplomatic and strategic cooperation.
Both countries have maintained close relations over the years, with recent engagements focusing increasingly on trade, investment, energy and other areas of mutual interest.
The two sides are also seeking to translate their longstanding bilateral relationship into greater economic collaboration and tangible investment opportunities.
Al-Malki’s departure marks the end of his diplomatic assignment in Pakistan, while Islamabad reiterated its commitment to maintaining and further strengthening its close partnership with Riyadh.
