Karachi, July 22, 2024 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its shipping activity report for Monday, July 22, 2024, providing detailed information to stakeholders about the latest maritime movements and cargo handling activities.

On Sunday, July 21st, the edible oil carrier ‘Silver Heba,’ carrying palm oil, berthed at the Liquid Cargo Terminal. Additionally, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier ‘Lusail’ arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim early this morning.

Over the last 24 hours, three ships were actively engaged at PQA berths. Among them, the petroleum product carrier ‘Estia’ departed the port earlier today.

During this period, the port handled a substantial cargo volume totaling 125,669 tonnes. This included 102,305 tonnes of import cargo and 23,364 tonnes of export cargo, highlighting the port’s significant role in facilitating international trade.

Currently, there are four ships at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. Among these, the petroleum product carrier ‘Hafnia Seine’ is expected to take a berth at the FOTCO Oil Terminal later today. Additionally, four more container ships – EF Emma, Interasia Accelerate, MOL Presence, and MSC Rikku – are scheduled to arrive at the port on Tuesday, July 23rd.
