Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, July 24, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its detailed report on shipping activity for Thursday, July 24, 2025, capturing the latest maritime operations at one of Pakistan’s busiest ports.

The report, updated at 0800 hours, outlines vessel movements over the past 24 hours, highlighting the ongoing vibrancy in shipping activity crucial to Pakistan’s trade and logistics landscape.

According to the PQA, multiple vessels were involved in significant loading and unloading activity during the reporting period. Among those that departed, M.V. HANSA AFRICA, carrying containers, sailed out from berth QT2-I at 10:15 under the agency of GAC Shipping. Another noteworthy departure was M.V. EVER BRILLIANT, which handled a bulk rice shipment totaling 21,555 metric tons for export, in addition to 3,770 metric tons of imports. This vessel sailed at 14:30 from M/W-II under the management of Ocean Services.

Also departing was M.T. AN 61, a tanker that handled 3,216 metric tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and M.V. KARADENIZ S, which dealt with a major coal consignment weighing 54,234 metric tons. Their successful movements reflect the steady pace of shipping activity essential to sustaining industrial supply chains.

On the berthing side, M.V. MSC NORA III, a large container vessel measuring 210.85 meters in length, arrived and was berthed at QT2-II at 13:15. The ship is represented by MSC Pakistan and is part of the port’s ongoing containerized cargo operations, which continue to drive much of the port’s daily shipping activity.

Additionally, intra-port shifting was recorded as M.V. MEGHNA PRESTIGE was moved from berth M/W-I. The vessel, with a cargo of 35,000 metric tons of cement and 8,900 metric tons for export, was handled by Bulk Shipping Agencies. The shifting activity is part of routine logistics management to optimize berth utilization and enhance operational efficiency.

The consistent movement of vessels—berthing, sailing, and shifting—underscores Port Qasim’s growing importance in national and regional shipping activity. With strong infrastructure and daily traffic of diverse cargo types, the port remains a central node in Pakistan’s maritime trade, ensuring seamless connectivity and uninterrupted supply lines.
