Karachi, July 28, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its latest shipping activity report on Monday, detailing maritime operations over the past 24 hours to keep stakeholders informed of ongoing port logistics and vessel movements.
According to the report issued at 08:00 hours, Port Qasim experienced considerable shipping traffic with multiple vessels arriving and berthing at various terminals. The updated data highlights an active schedule of imports and exports, reflecting Port Qasim’s vital role in supporting Pakistan’s maritime trade and economic throughput.
Among the notable arrivals, container vessels XIN LIAN CHANG, ELENI T, and MSC MEDITERRANEAN docked at Qasim International Container Terminals (QICT), handled by agents AL-PINE MARINE, GAC SHIPPING, and MSC PAKISTAN respectively. These vessels are part of the regular containerized shipping flow that connects Pakistan to global trade routes.
Meanwhile, the tanker TORM MALAYSIA berthed at FOTCO terminal with a substantial import of 37,264 metric tons of MOGAS, underscoring Port Qasim’s importance in energy imports. Another major cargo ship, DESERT DIGNITY, carrying 58,920 metric tons of coal, docked at PIBT under the management of GAC SHIPPING.
The continuous berthing and cargo handling operations indicate a robust level of shipping activity, further establishing Port Qasim as a central hub for maritime logistics in the region. With its expanding infrastructure and steady shipping operations, Port Qasim continues to strengthen its capacity to handle diverse cargo and port services, ensuring seamless trade flow for both imports and exports in Pakistan’s growing economy.
